Community-building events

At Linder, community-building events foster a sense of belonging and provide opportunities for families to connect with one another. We recognize that parents of neurodivergent children have unique needs for connection and support, and we are dedicated to creating a welcoming community where families can share experiences, celebrate victories, and learn from each other.

Family and parent events include:

  • Monthly coffee meetups at drop-off

  • Family game nights

  • Off-campus family meetups (examples: Ice & Lights, Old Town Ghost Tour)

  • Book club

  • Moms’ Night Out & Dads’ Night Out

  • Wine on the Terrace fundraiser

  • Workshops on brain development & learning strategies

These are just a few examples of how we create spaces for parents to build meaningful relationships and strong support networks with each other.

Parent association

The Parent Association at Linder plays a vital role in shaping our vibrant campus life. Through volunteer opportunities, event planning, and direct collaboration with school staff, this group of parent volunteers ensures parents have an active voice in the Linder community.

Parents support school initiatives, teacher appreciation gifts, organize fundraisers, and assist with events, classroom activities, and field trips. The association also takes suggestions from parents to coordinate valuable educational workshops to equip families with tools to support their children’s growth and learning journeys.

Athletics and wellness

From fencing and rock climbing to swimming and dance, our unique scheduling allows students to pursue high-level athletics without compromising academics. Our approach to physical education emphasizes personal fitness, teamwork, and lifelong wellness habits. Students can participate in both competitive and recreational sports, ensuring they find an activity that suits their interests and abilities.

Clubs and activities

Whether participating in national competitions, joining a debate club, or leading community service initiatives, students have endless opportunities to engage and excel. We encourage students to take an active role in shaping campus life by creating new clubs and initiatives based on their interests. With options ranging from robotics and coding clubs to literary magazines and environmental activism, there’s truly something for everyone.

Social events and community engagement

Our Old Town location provide students with real-world exposure and off-campus experiences, while our school-sponsored dances, speaker series, and networking events create a unique and vibrant student life. Students may participate in collaborative service-learning projects, partner with local organizations, and gain firsthand experience through shadowing opportunities and internships.
